CA PRA Noncompliance Good Cause
PRA required participants are exempt from cooperation with PRA requirements when they establish good cause for refusal to cooperate. Policy and procedures regarding PRA noncompliance good cause are outlined as follows:
 
 
Accept ALL reasons for claiming good cause as a valid claim. Elevate the facts of a claim for good cause via email to the Policy Support Team (PST) before taking any action to sanction when either of the following occurs:
 
The participant claims good cause for a reason that is not included in the policy.
The participant fails to respond to the request for good cause or indicates a refusal to comply with CA PRA requirements.
 
The PST, with direction from the Assistant Director, determines whether a claim is acceptable and advises the EI how to proceed.
