Daylight Saving Time (DST) Definition
Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins, for most of the United States, on the second Sunday of March, and ends on the first Sunday of November.
In March, clocks are moved forward from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
In November, time reverts to Standard Time, from 2:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
DST is not observed in the U.S. and its territories in any of the following regions:
●American Samoa
●Arizona, except for the following FAA offices on and near the Navajo Nation:

NOTE The Navajo Nation in Arizona participates in DST due to its large size and location in three states. Arizona, except the Navajo Nation, is always on Mountain Standard Time.

Days Definition
A day is defined as follows:
●Calendar Day
The day as it falls sequentially on the calendar. A calendar day includes weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and
State holidays(g).
●Workday
The day as it falls during the week, Monday through Friday. A workday does not include any of the following:
●Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
●State holidays
●Furlough days
DCS or Tribal Placement Provider Definition
When a child under the jurisdiction of the
Department of Child Safety (DCS), a Tribal court or a
Tribal Child Welfare agency located in Arizona, is placed with an unrelated adult, the adult becomes the child's specified relative.
It is not required that the adult be a blood relative or a Legal Permanent Guardian.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Definition
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is a U.S. immigration policy that allows some individuals brought to the country as children and who remain with unlawful presence in the U.S. to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation.
These young men and women, sometimes referred to as Dreamers, may become eligible for a work permit in the U.S. To be eligible for the program, recipients cannot have felonies or serious misdemeanors on their records. DACA does not provide a path to citizenship for recipients. See Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) for more information.
Deprivation Definition
A lack of parental support or care for a dependent child. This can be due to any of the following reasons:
●Death
●Physical or mental disability
●Continued absence of either or both parents
●Unemployment or underemployment of the primary wage earner

Designated staff is defined as any FAA staff designated to complete a specific activity, including and not limited to, any of the following:
