A Department of Child Safety (DCS) report can be made anytime a person presently under the age of 18 is the subject of any of the following types of abuse:

 

 

These types of abuse may have been inflicted, or may likely be inflicted, by a parent, guardian, or custodian. The parent, guardian or custodian may have permitted or have reason to believe another person may inflict the abuse. The report must contain sufficient information to locate the child.
