Cooperation with Child Support Services - Overview

Parents or caretaker relatives who are receiving CA are required to cooperate with the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS). This also applies when a change is reported, and a participant requests an additional child be added to an ongoing CA case.
 
DCSS cooperation is not required when any of the following apply:
 
Exempt from DCSS cooperation
For new CA participants when both of the following are met:
The date displayed in the DATE OF AF COOPERATION field is less than 30 calendar days prior to the date of the interview
There have been no budgetary unit participant changes
 
NOTE All new CA participants must cooperate with DCSS before CA approval when DCSS cooperation is required.
 
For CA, key absent parent information, including changes that are reported or discovered, on the AP screens.
