Born or Adopted Before New FBCP
A child born or adopted during either of the following is exempt from Family Benefit Cap Period (FBCP):
●After an FBCP expires and before a new CA application.
●In the first month of the FBCP and before the date of application.
When the child is determined eligible for CA, complete the following:
●Key B in the WERE EXPT RSN AF field.
●Key IN in the PT field on SEPA.
●Document CADO with the following:
The month the FBCP expired
The new CA application date
The name and date of birth or adoption of the child
The B WERE Exempt Reason Code was used
●Place the Benefit Cap Grid: Determining the BC Child (FAA‑1302A) form or FAA1583A Electronic benefit Cap Determination unity form in the
case file(g).
