TIPS Transfer Definition
 
AZTECS Technology Interface Project System (TIPS) transfer is the process of transferring application information from Health-e-Arizona PLUS (HEAplus) to AZTECS and automatically registering CA and NA program applications.
 
The TIPS transfers run daily. The job file is transmitted to FAA Systems as follows (times are in Mountain Standard Time**):
 
Monday through Friday , at all of the following times:
4:30 a.m.
Every half hour from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
 
NOTE Transfers occur on the hour and at half past the hour. For example, information submitted between 7:40 a.m. and 8:09 a.m. registers at 8:30 a.m., and information submitted between 8:10 a.m. and 8:39 a.m. registers at 9:00 a.m.
 
Saturdays - 4:30 a.m.
Sundays - 6:00 p.m.
State holidays - 4:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
NOTE TIPS will run at 4:30 a.m. the next calendar day(g) for applications received after 6:00 p.m. transfer on Sundays through Fridays.
 
When FAA Systems retrieves the file, the job is auto-processed into AZTECS.
 
**FAA Systems does not observe Daylight Saving Time(g).
