General Information - DNAP Case Files
Place each application and all information and documentation in a case file folder.

Transfer the DNAP case files following the end of the disaster authorization period as follows:

Complete a DNAP Case Record Transmittal (FAA-0556A) form for cases being transferred from the disaster site to the disaster location’s Region Office.
A copy of each FAA-0556A must be maintained by the disaster site supervisor or designee for review purposes for a minimum of three months. Forward a copy via email to the DBME DNAP Team Leader.
Upon receipt, the Region Office uploads each disaster case file listed on the FAA-0556A into OnBase. The FAA-0556A and the paper copy of the disaster case file must be retained for a minimum of three months in a secure location.

When a budgetary unit is not eligible for DNAP benefits and wants to apply for regular NA, provide an application and refer the budgetary unit to their nearest FAA office. When the budgetary unit completes an application for regular NA or for other program benefits and presents it to FAA staff at the disaster site, complete the following:

Date stamp the application. Follow the regular application date procedures and time frames for NA and other programs.
Fax the application on the same day to Centralized Document Services (CDS) for data entry. Attach the FAA-0556A to the application when faxing it to CDS.
Place the paper application, the FAA-0556A, and the fax transmittal in a secure location until the end of the disaster authorization period.
At the end of the disaster authorization period, complete an FAA-0556A to transfer the applications for regular NA or other program benefits, the CDS FAA-0556A, and the fax transmittal to the disaster location’s Region Office. The Region Office completes the following:
Upon receipt, confirms each application for regular NA or other program benefits has been registered. When an application is not registered, the Region Office contacts CDS for resolution.
Retains the FAA-0556A and applications for regular NA or other program benefits for a minimum of three months in a secure location.
