Online EBT Purchasing
This section identifies what stores allow EBT benefits to be used for online purchases.
Policy
The EBT Online Purchasing program was introduced as a
pilot program(g) in the Agricultural Act of 2014 (PL-113-79) which is also known as the Farm Bill. The program allows NA participants to purchase groceries online and CA participants to use their benefits to purchase products online. Retailers continue to join the program giving participants a wide variety of products to choose from.
Only eligible food may be purchased with NA benefits. Delivery fees and other associated charges may not be paid for with NA benefits but may be paid with CA benefits.
Many retailers offer delivery services. However, the delivery may be limited or unavailable in some areas. Participants should contact the store for available options, including delivery cost options.
