Policy
Foster care is administered by the Department of Child Safety (DCS), a Tribal Court or a Tribal Child Welfare Agency.
CA Foster Care participants are enrolled in the Mercy Care Department of Child Safety Comprehensive Health Plan (DCS CHP). DCS completes MA eligibility determinations for DCS CHP.
FAA has the responsibility to share information with DCS and CHP so they can decide whether a child is eligible for foster care.
