Tuberculosis Control - Identifying Eligible Participants Without Dependent Children
Consider a single participant who lists no dependents, potentially eligible for the Tuberculosis Control (TC) program. When otherwise eligible, authorize benefits for one participant.
When two participants married to each other list no dependents they may be eligible for TC in the same budgetary unit when the following applies:
When either or both meet the TC disability criteria (See
TC - Verification of TB)
They both meet the other TC eligibility criteria (See
State Assistance Eligibility Factors Table)

When the spouse is receiving SSI, do not include them in the TC budgetary unit.

When more than one participant lives in the same residence and they are not married, each participant must have a separate TC case.
