GACD displays historical General Assistance(g) benefits, displaying a code that indicates whether a month is countable or not countable during a 36-consecutive-month period. The codes display as follows:
 
●X = GA countable month.
●O = GA not countable month.
●E = GA countable additional month, effective 07/01/02.
●C = GA not countable caretaker month, effective 02/01/01.
 
Determine the number of GA benefits received by counting the X payment indicators included in a 36-consecutive month period.
 
All months with an X indicator are countable months included in the GA BENEFIT COUNTER.
 
The combined total of the X and E payments issued during the current 36-consecutive month period displays in the GA BENEFIT TOTAL field.
