Referral Process – Pascua Yaqui Tribal TANF

The Pascua Yaqui (PY) Social Services Department determines eligibility for the PY Tribal TANF Program.
 
When an identifiable application for CA is received and the budgetary unit is potentially eligible for PY TANF, complete all of the following:
 
Accept and register the application.
Complete an interview. (See Special Keying Requirements for more information.)
Inform the CA applicant that they must apply with the PY Social Services Department to determine eligibility for CA.
Provide the address and telephone number of the PY Social Services Department nearest to the applicant’s residential address. (See PY Social Services Department for a list of offices.)
Complete all of the following to refer the CA applicant to the PY Social Services Department to apply for CA benefits:
Fill out the Applicant Information section of the Tribal/FAA – Turn Around Document (FAA-1125A) form.
Send the completed FAA-1125A to the appropriate PY TANF office.
Upload a copy of the completed FAA-1125A to OnBase.
Inform the CA applicant that the referral was sent to the PY Social Services Department.
Key PY in the DENIAL CLOSURE REASON field on AFED to deny the CA.
Send the Cash Assistance Deny/Closure PY TANF (A636) notice.
