Halfway House Definition
A
facility(g) that provides temporary residence designed to facilitate readjustment to private life for individuals including, and not limited to, all of the following:
●Behavioral health patients
●Drug and alcohol addicts
●Participants recently released from incarceration
●Persons who are Homeless
A halfway house meets the definition of an
institution(g) when the facility provides the majority (over 50%) of three meals daily as part of the facility’s normal services. (For more information, see
