Adding More Than One Participant to CA or NA
To add more than one participant to an active case, determine the eligibility of the new participants and the combined effect of the change as follows:
 
●When the benefits increase because of the addition of more than one participant, treat the addition of all of the participants as a benefit increase. Determine the new benefits and issue supplements when applicable. (See Example Adding More Than One Participant, CA or NA, 1)
●When the benefits decrease because of the addition of more than one participant, treat the addition of each of the participants individually as follows:
Add participants who cause a benefit increase for the month after the month the change was received.
Add participants who cause a benefit decrease for the first month possible, allowing for NOAA.
