A participant may sell or transfer homestead property without fair consideration and without affecting eligibility.
 
CA EXCEPTION
A participant may sell or transfer homestead property without fair consideration and without affecting eligibility only when that participant cannot continue residing in the home because of health reasons. When this occurs, the following apply:
●Verification from a medical authority is required.
●A determination must be made when the medical verification is received.
