Changes in Resources for Pending Months
While an application is pending, participants are not eligible for benefits any month they report resources that are over, or will be over, the allowable maximum.
Approve the benefits the month following the month the resources are reduced to the allowable maximum. (See

NOTE CA benefits may be prorated to the second or third month after the application, but not more than 45 days after the application date. (See
CA Initial Month Special Rules)
Deny the application when both of the following occur:
Resources cause ineligibility the month the decision is made
It cannot be determined that the participants will be eligible the following month
