When the parents(g) of a child are both absent, the stepparent who requests benefits for the stepchildren in their care has the following options:
 
●Include themselves in the case. Count all of their income and resources in the determination of benefits.
 
NOTE Resources apply only to CA.
 
●Not to include themselves in the case. (See Stepparent Not Requesting)
