A caretaker relative may apply for a child when they become a single parent of a child through adoption or artificial insemination.

 

Deprivation(g) exists when a single parent adopts a child, or a child was born as a result of artificial insemination.

 

There is no legally responsible absent parent for this child. Keying the Absent Parent Screens and cooperation with the Department of Child Support Services is not required.
