Before completing the eligibility determination for an LPR, it is determined whether the LPR is sponsored and whether they meet the additional LPR requirements. When an LPR is sponsored, the income of the sponsor and the sponsor’s spouse may be deemed available to the LPR. See each of the above links for details.
