Participants have the right to withdraw from a program at any time. When a budgetary unit provides a written or verbal request for benefits to be terminated, stop benefits for the month specified by the PI. When benefits cannot be stopped for the month specified by the PI, stop benefits the first month possible. Allow for adequate notice time frames.

 

When no month is specified, stop benefits the first month possible allowing for adequate notice.

 

When the PI wants to withdraw, key VW in the CLOSE/DENY CASE field on STAB.

 

When withdrawing from the program would avoid an overpayment, advise the PI and give them the opportunity to withdraw.
