Rent Sharing Example 2

Eric and Kenny live together. They are both part of the SAME NA budgetary unit.

Kenny pays $300 rent each month to Eric.

Eric's rental obligation is only $200 per month.

Eric receives $100 a month in excess of the actual rental expense of $200 from Kenny.

Kenny's income is $418 per month in CA. Eric does not receive CA.

The $100 that Kenny pays in excess of the rental expense is not countable because the $100 is from Kenny's CA income. The CA income is already counted toward the entire NA budgetary unit.
