Removing a Participant from an Active NA Case
When a participant is no longer part of the budgetary unit, remove the participant's needs by keying the appropriate NA case participation code on SEPA, and determine the eligibility of the remaining budgetary unit participants.
 
WARNING
When the PI leaves an NA budgetary unit, see Emergency Representative for procedures in special situations.
 
Remove the participant in accordance with the appropriate notice requirements as follows:
 
When the change results in either no benefits change or a benefit increase, remove the participant for the first day of the first month possible. Send either the C705 notice or the F702 notice.
When the change results in a benefit decrease, remove the participant for the first possible month allowing for NOAA.
 
NA budgetary unit may report that a CA sanctioned participant has moved out of the home. In this situation, do not increase the benefits until the month after the month of the report.
