The Percentage Expense Deduction allows a separate deduction for each expense category below. The amount of the deduction in each group is based on the number of expenses that the compromise household members were obligated to pay during the last calendar month.
 
Shelter and Utility Expense Deduction
40% for 1-2 expenses
50% for 3 or more expenses
Daily Living and Vehicle Expense Deduction
10% for 1-2 expenses
15% for 3 or more expenses
Child and Adult Care and Medical Expense Deduction
15% for 1-2 expenses
20% for 3 or more expenses
Rent
Mortgage
Public or Subsidized Housing
Rental space (if billed separately from rent)
Homeowner association fees
Property taxes (if billed separately)
Shelter Insurance (if paid separately)
Electricity
Gas
Water
Garbage
Sewer
Propane
Butane
Firewood
