Child Only Cases – Pascua Yaqui Tribal TANF
A dependent child may receive Pascua Yaqui (PY) Tribal TANF benefits when residing with a nonparent caretaker relative (
NPCR(g)). A PY NPCR must be an adult who is capable and responsible for the care, control, and supervision of the dependent child.
When the PY Tribal TANF budgetary unit consists of only a child, all of the following apply:
●The budgetary unit must meet all other PY Tribal TANF program requirements.
●The child must be an enrolled PY Tribal member to be potentially eligible for PY Tribal TANF.
●The NPCR must be related to the child by blood (no limit to the degree of relationship) or by Tribal customs and/or traditions.
●The NPCR is required to comply with PY Yoemem Organization for Employment and Member Enhancement (YOEME) Services Compliance Office prior to TANF approval. (See
