Mary applies for NA on July 15th. Her two grandchildren Terry and Sally just moved in with her. Terry and Sally are receiving benefits in another state during July. It has been verified that Terry’s and Sally’s out of state benefits stop at the end of July.
 
Mary is 85 years old and her only income $855.00 a month in Social Security Retirement. When Mary’s NA application is approved in the month of July, Mary is the only person coded IN on SEPA. Terry and Sally are coded OU on SEPA having received benefits in another State during the month of July. Mary’s application is assigned a 24-month approval period because Mary meets the elderly criteria and has only unearned income, Mary is the only person coded IN for July.
 
When the details are copied into the month of August, Terry and Sally will be coded IN on SEPA because it has been verified Terry and Sally’s benefits ended in another state.
