.12 Changes in Shelter Costs - Standard Reporting
Changes in shelter costs must be reported only when the CA or NA budgetary unit has reported a change in address.
 
Changes in CA eligibility for the A1 standard must be reported and verified when the budgetary unit has moved.
 
NOTE When adding or removing a participant, that participant's income, resources, allowable expenses, and all other eligibility factors connected to that person are considered ONE change.
 
When changes in shelter costs or eligibility for the A1 standard occur, determine whether the change will result in any of the following:
 
 
The budgetary unit's expenses may exceed their available reported income. When this occurs, investigate how they manage to meet their financial obligations. (See EEI when the budgetary unit's expenses exceed their income)
