A Cost of Employment Deduction
 
AZTECS automatically calculates and totals the Cost of Employment (COE) deduction for each wage earner in the budgetary unit.
 
The COE is a $90 monthly deduction from the total countable gross earned income of each participant who is employed.
 
This includes participants who work but are disqualified or sanctioned because of refusal to comply with any of the following:
 
Social Security Enumeration
Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) eligibility requirements
Jobs eligibility requirements
 
The COE is meant to compensate for job-related personal expenses. Job-related expenses include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
Transportation
Uniforms
Mandatory payroll deductions
