A CA Jobs Program Preliminary Orientation (JPPO)

Effective for all applications registered 07/01/2020 and after, DCSS Cooperation restarts using the Virtual Pre-Approval Cooperation process. For instructions see, Interview Requirements for DCSS Cooperation.

ALL new CA participants who are CA Jobs mandatory referrals are required to complete the Jobs Program Preliminary Orientation (JPPO) before CA approval. Participants must comply by watching the JPPO Compliance Video or listening to the JPPO Compliance Audio recordings with an FAA Worker. (See CA Jobs mandatory referrals)
 
The JPPO Compliance Video or Audio provides new CA participants information about the following:
 
The Jobs Program
Jobs participation requirements
Jobs work and training activities
Jobs supportive services
 
The JPPO Compliance Video is used for in-person interviews. The JPPO Compliance Audio is used for telephone interviews.
 
The JPPO Compliance Video and Audio recording are located in the DES Document Center. Under the header of Documents and Resources, select Videos and Audio. The video and audio recordings are titled “Arizona Jobs Program Video” and the “Arizona Jobs Program Audio”.
 
The compliance requirement can still be met if the script titled “Jobs Program - Video Script” is read to the participant in English or their spoken language. For participants requesting accommodations due to a visual impairment, large print version of the script is also available in the Document Center. For the hearing impaired, the script can be printed and provided to the participant.
 
EXCEPTION
The JPPO requirement does not apply to the following:
Two Parent Employment Program (TPEP)
Hopi Family Assistance Program (HFAP)
Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRP-MIC) Life Enhancement and Resource Network (LEARN)
Pascua Yaqui (PY) Yoemem Organization for Employment and Member Enhancement (YOEME) Services
NOTE The Tribal TANF Programs have their own preapproval compliance requirement.
