School Attendance Noncompliance for New Applications

For new applications, the PI may indicate that children in the budgetary unit do not meet PRA school attendance requirements. When this occurs, complete the following:
 
●Inform the participant that they may be exempt from School Attendance requirements when they meet any of the School Attendance good cause criteria.
●Send A733 notice.
●Inform the PI that they have ten days to establish School Attendance good cause.
●Verification might not be received and good cause cannot be established within the ten day period. When this occurs, treat any reason for claiming good cause as a valid claim, using the participant statement as verification. (See School Attendance Good Cause Reasons)
 
NOTE When the participant refuses to comply, deny the application.
