School Attendance Noncompliance for New Applications

For new applications, the participant may indicate that children in the budgetary unit do not meet PRA school attendance requirements. When this occurs, complete all of the following:
 
Inform the participant that they may be exempt from School Attendance requirements when they meet any of the School Attendance good cause criteria.
Send the A733 notice.
Inform the participant that they have ten calendar days(g) to establish School Attendance good cause.
Verification might not be received and good cause cannot be established within the ten-day period. When this occurs, treat any reason for claiming good cause as a valid claim and document the case file(g). (See School Attendance Good Cause Reasons)
 
NOTE When the participant refuses to comply, deny the application.
