B Tribal CA-PG Requirements

(10/01/10 – 12/31/10)
The participant's PREGNANCY must be verified. (See Verifying Pregnancy for acceptable sources of verification). Accept the participant's statement for the estimated delivery date (EDD).

The participant must have no other dependent children in the home.

NOTE The participant may be eligible for Tribal CA-PG even when the father of the unborn is living in the home. Only the pregnant participant is eligible for Tribal CA-PG benefits until the baby is born.

To be eligible for Tribal CA-PG benefits the unborn must be considered to be deprived of parental support or care, as if the baby were born. When the father of the unborn resides with the participant, determine whether the unborn is deprived when either of the following applies:

A parent in the home has a disability. (See Parent with a Disability)
A parent in the home is underemployed or unemployed. (See Unemployment of a Parent)

NOTE Since AZTECS cannot determine a budget because the Unborn is coded OU in the PAR field on SEPA, deprivation must be determined by hand in this situation.
