.07 Missed Medical Appointments
Participants who cannot keep a medical appointment scheduled by FAA must inform the local office before close of business, the day of the appointment.
 
Once the participant has contacted FAA, reschedule the appointment.
 
When the second medical appointment is not kept, deny the application.
 
When the local office is notified that a participant in an active case has missed a medical appointment scheduled by FAA, follow these procedures:
 
Send a ten day advance notice on NORE, telling the PI the CA case will be closed for failure to keep a medical appointment.
When the participant contacts the local office before the ten day period, reschedule the medical appointment.
When the participant fails to keep the second medical appointment, close the CA case. The participant must reapply to have eligibility determined.
