.01 CA PRA Good Cause Procedures
Accept ALL reasons for claiming good cause as a valid claim. Elevate the facts of a claim for good cause via e-mail to the Policy Support Team (PST) before taking any action to sanction when either of the following occurs:
The participant claims good cause for a reason that is not included in the policy.
The participant fails to respond to the request for good cause or indicates a refusal to comply with CA PRA requirements.
The PST, with direction from the Assistant Director, determines whether a claim is acceptable and advises the EI how to proceed.
