Luxury Items
Assume the participant has no luxury items with high enough value to affect eligibility unless the participant states otherwise, or there is other clear evidence to the contrary.
 
Do not count basic household furnishings and personal items that are necessary for day to day living.
 
Count the portion of the equity value (g) of each personal item not necessary for day to day living that exceeds the maximum resource limit. The resource limit amounts for each program are as follows:
 
 
Determine the total current equity value of all such personal items owned by the participants in the case.
